Not all Heroes Wear Capes.
SOME WEAR LAB COATS
Meet some of our Heroes in Lab Coats...
Bill Crews with Dr. Fredrick Hagemeister, his lymphoma doctor, hero & friend.
Bill would like to thank Dr. Hagemeister for choosing the right treatments
to get his lymphoma into remission. Because of the way his chemo was
administered, Bill's heart was not as badly damaged as it might otherwise have
been. Dr. Hagemeister knew that Bill was an athlete who wanted to overcome
cancer and get back to swimming and running.

Dr. Larry Kwak is a great hero to Marilyn Kowalski, one of the survivors
running Remission Run.
Marilyn is a lymphoma patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
This is what she has to say about Dr. Kwak and her other heroes there...
"Dr. Larry Kwak is my amazing doctor whose guidance has been brilliant and to whom I owe my life.
Jai Song is a wonderful, caring nurse. Susan Neel is my terrific clinical trial nurse
whose knowledge is amazing."
Thank you Larry Kwak, Jai Song and Susan Neel for your determination and
diligence in the war against cancer!

Dr. Sattva Neelapu is a lymphoma expert at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
He is in charge of the Lymphoma Tissue Bank which receives funding from the

Diseases that take the lives of children must be stopped.

leukemia and at the age of five he went to be with Jesus.
May we soon eliminate childhood cancers!
Christopher's dad, Mike Csikos is also a cancer survivor.
Mike was treated for melanoma at MD Anderson Cancer Center
and he would like to honor
Dr. Merrick Ross in the Melanoma Center
as a great hero in his battle against cancer.
Christopher Csikos with his daddy Mike Csikos.

From Dale: "In May 2004 he surgically removed a 2-inch malignant tumor in my liver. Today, I am now a healthy 5+ year survivor of liver cancer. I want to thank Dr. Vauthey, his staff, and everyone at MD Anderson for the miracle they performed, and for giving me a second chance in life!"
Dr. Raymond Alexanian, Multiple Myeloma

Rick Jacobs & his family want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Raymond Alexanian, Jai Song, Ann Savoie & Dr. Roy Jones who make up the amazing MD Anderson team who diagnosed & treated Rick's Multiple Myeloma. Four & a half years later Rick is still in remission & going strong. "Thank you" just doesn't seem say enough to these Heroes in Lab Coats!!
